The Stoke City players will be feeling somewhat disenchanted with their inability to pick up any points from their away fixture against West Bromwich Albion recently, that ended in a 2-0 defeat.  Their share of possession in that meeting was 51%, while racking up 13 shots along the way, 3 of which were on target, in contrast to the numbers reached by West Bromwich Albion, who had 16 shots on goal with 4 on target.

With Sheffield United sitting a clear 14 places above them in the table, Cardiff City won't feel totally dejected with their 1-0 home defeat by them last time out.  They achieved 50% possession in that match and had 12 strikes at goal, with 2 hitting the target, up against Sheffield United's tally of 10 efforts at goal, 5 of which were on target.  

While they have shown an appetite for goals over the last 6 matches, clocking up 5, they have not had it all their own way at the back and have given away 8 goals and some valuable points in the process.  They will need to tighten up at the back, having failed to keep a clean sheet in all but 1 of their last 6 away games.  After failing to get on the scoresheet in 6 away games out of 10 this season, Mark Hudson will be looking for a bit more consistency from his forwards.
